This includes showing them how to brush and floss their teeth as they get old enough to do these activities for themselves.
According to the American Dental Association, you should take your child to the dentist around their first birthday. While this might seem early, this is a great chance for the dentist to look at your child’s teeth, mouth, and jaw and make sure that there are no early problems forming.
At this appointment, we will go over important information with you related to diet, bottles, brushing teeth, and fluoride. If your child is able, they can sit in the dentist chair and have their teeth lightly brushed and counted.
